Valerie
Seldon, owner of The Gift of Touch, LLC,
has been licensed and practicing therapeutic massage
in Connecticut and New York since 1998. She enhances
her hands on skills and knowledge of massage by teaching
massage therapy at The Connecticut Center for Massage
Therapy. Val integrates a variety of techniques providing
a range of pressure from light Swedish to deep tissue
work. She is also a certified practitioner for the

Myofascial Therapy - a hands on technique
that releases restrictions in the fascia of the body.

Lymph Drainage - which works to activate
fluid circulation and stimulate the functioning of
the immune system and the parasympathetic nervous
system. MLD can help with reduction in edema (swelling)
and lymphedema of many origins, detoxification of
the body, improvement of venous conditions, relief
of chronic pain, and deep relaxation to aid insomnia,
stress and loss of vitality.
Hot
Stone Massage - a deeply soothing and relaxing
form of massage. The session is done with the therapist
using traditional swedish massage strokes while holding
a heated stone.
